Presidential Decree: Establishment of the State University “Cyber University”

The Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-14 dated January 20, 2025, “On the establishment of the state university ‘Cyber University’,” has been adopted.

According to the decree, the main tasks of the University are defined as follows:

– training specialists in information security, cybersecurity, digital technologies, digital economy, development of automated information-analytical systems based on artificial intelligence, robotics, and other related fields;

– retraining specialists and improving qualifications in the field of digital technologies;

– organizing the educational process based on advanced international experience and modern educational technologies, as well as promoting the development of an open information and educational environment;

– creating additional opportunities for youth to acquire knowledge and professions, expanding the selection and coverage of personnel to supply government agencies, enterprises, and other organizations;

– cooperating with leading national and international higher education and research institutions, developers and consumers of digital technologies, and other sectoral enterprises in implementing educational and scientific projects;

– developing educational and methodological materials for relevant fields and specialties, conducting fundamental, scientific, and applied research involving students and specialists.
